Good service. Good margarita specials on Monday. Got the peach margarita on the rocks, half pitcher. Delicious. Salsa was acceptable. Got san jose special, which was 3 enchiladas (beef, chicken, cheese) with rice. Beef enchilada was ground beef with onions. Different fruition what I'm used to, but pretty good. I'd definitely recommend this place at least for the drinks on Mondays.

Always friendly I never had a bad meal. Could be a bit cleaner building over all but seating are fine.

The food here used to be incredible! They served this dog food looking nastiness, calling it pollo con crema! The 3 of us had 3 different meals, all of which were equally bland and equally bad. When brought to the attention of our server he just said to "enjoy" and didn't come back until we needed the check. Eat at your own discretion.

Dude. Hands down one of the best Mexican places I've ever been. And I love Mexican.Food was awesome, except for my Mom's Fajita Salad that was swimming in juice. No salad should be like that. However, I'm a bartender and I said something so they don't let it happen again, not to just complain. They did however do what was right and took it off the bill. I definitely tipped accordingly as you should, and the service was top notch. The margaritas were also awesome. Would I go back? In a heartbeat! Thanks again you guys.

Great food. Authentic but that sometimes mean rice, beans and/or beef is flavorless. Not in this instance,. Had a combo plate, one hardshell and two enchiladas (one chicken, one beef). The chicken enchilada was excellent with carmelized onions, peppers and chicken breast. Had them covered with the white cheese sauce which was a great choice! Large portion of complementary chips and salsa. Salsa was pretty mild but I get that, not everyone likes it spicy. Excellent service, server was there within 45 seconds and checked backed with us frequently. Now for the prices, lowest I've seen a combo plate in years ($7.99)! Friend had a margarita $3.50!! When back in Ohio next year, will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Best Mexican restaurant in the area. Best prices anywhere and large portions. We’ve tried other places but always return here. Can’t say enough good. We love this restaurant.

Best Mexican food I've ever had. I'm so picky.. I never thought I could be this happy! Love it here! I got the Mexico special, and the cheese sause is unbelievably good! Beans are good! Service was top notch never got to the bottom of the glass or the nachos! Asked how we liked it 3 times and the food came out crazy fast. Never been to a better Mexican restaurant and I've been to Mexico and alot state wide.

El San Jose's is a good place to get lunch if you work nearby or have dinner. They offer a fairly standard Mexican menu with specials on adult beverages available. The service has been good each time that I've visited and you get chips and salsa once you are seated.

I have been meeting family and friends here for many years, staff are always attentive, and will accommodate your needs. The food is hot and at the table quickly. My mom and I often order the chicken soup. It is loaded with chicken and vegetables, and rice. So delicious on cold days. So much love for El San Jose!

During the restaurant shutdown, whenever I thought about what food I missed, El San Jose was always the first to come to mind. Great food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff will keep you coming back.

We live in the Houston, Texas where it seems two of every three restaurants serve Mexican food. El San Jose serves food that rivals the best of those in Houston...at half of the price! The service is prompt and very attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The staff is very friendly. We will definitely return when we come to New Philadelphia again.
